7. Can I rent dive gear?

Yes, dive gear is included for those divers who want to rent equipment.

8. Will I need a dive computer?

Yes, you will be required to dive with a computer;  not having one will severely limit the group.

9. Are there any activities planned for the non-divers in the group?

Non-divers are welcome to all Scuba Cruise Group activities scheduled on the ship and will have the ability to join the dive group in one or two ports of call.

10. What is the dive group like?

Typical Scuba Cruise dive groups consist of 12-16 divers; they tend to be low maintenance, well traveled and experienced adult divers who enjoy under water photography and each others company.  About 75% of the divers are Scuba Cruise Alums who cruise with us regularly.  Some divers in the group travel with family and friends who are non-divers. Though the group is not restricted to adults only, we seldom see kids.  Though many in the group cruise with their dive buddy, some do not.  We always have single divers in the group, so finding a dive buddy is never an issue.

11. Explain the Scuba Cruise procedures and how the diving works.

Every diver in the group must attend a Pre-Dive Orientation scheduled in the evening on embarkation day.  This meeting is facilitated by Suzi, the dive group leader and her husband, Mike.  Divers new to the scuba group wil get an opportunity to meet the other divers during this hour long get together.  Information pertaining to disembarking the ship in each port and an overview of the diving will be reviwed at this time.

Although information on what time and where to meet every morning will be communicated to every diver via email prior to the cruise, Suzi will go over the process at the Pre-Dive Orientation.  The procedure to disembark the ship will be the same in every port; the dive group will meet on deck 4 by the shore excursion desk, check in and turn in their liability release forms. The dive group will walk off the ship together, lead by Suzi and meet up with pre-arranged transportation.

12. Will you offer Scuba Cruise Logo Tees Shirts?

Yes, we will make available Scuba Cruise Logo tee shirts in November 2013 to group members.

13. Where can I obtain more information?

Information about the cruise, the dive package, and port info can be found at the group website; however, if you have more questions, please contact Suzi, the group leader.  You will find her email address under her profile information.
